Executive Leadership

Hello, I'm John Agyapong, I am proud to serve as the President of the Snohomish County Branch of the NAACP . I was Born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, I've called the United States home for nearly 40 years. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with numerous Fortune 500 companies, but my true passion lies in serving our community. As a dedicated member of the Snohomish County NAACP for over a decade, serving as Treasurer, I'm honored to now lead our branch. I'm committed to following in the footsteps of our esteemed former President, Dr. Janice Greene, whose tireless efforts left an indelible mark on our organization. My leadership style is rooted in humility, and I'm dedicated to empowering our community through advocacy, education, and collective action.
Outside of my work with the NAACP, I'm a proud parent to two amazing children, aged 26 and 22, who bring immense joy to my life. Family time is precious to me, and I cherish every moment spent with them. I'm also passionate about entrepreneurship and recently launched African Audacity Tour LLC, a business that takes Americans on a journey to discover their African roots and immerse themselves in the continent's rich culture. Through my business, I aim to foster cross-cultural understanding, promote people-to-people diplomacy, and showcase the beauty and diversity of Africa. I'm excited to work alongside our members and community partners to continue the important work of promoting equity, justice, and equality for all.
